CMP launches Greek and Turkish versions of its website

Release Date: May 20, 2008

PRESS RELEASE

(Nicosia, 20 May 2008) – The Committee on Missing Persons in Cyprus (CMP) is pleased to announce the launch of the Greek and Turkish versions of its website at http://www.cmp-cyprus.org.

This will facilitate the access of both the Greek-speaking and the Turkish-speaking Cypriots to information pertaining to the activities of the CMP. The Committee will strive to continuously improve the website in accordance with the feedback received by visitors.

Following the launch of the English version last December, this step completes the efforts undertaken by the CMP to be more accessible to the people on behalf of whom it is carrying out its project on the Exhumation, Identification and Return of Missing Persons in Cyprus, as well as to the media and the donor community.

The Committee hopes that the website will encourage individuals in possession of any information concerning the whereabouts of Greek Cypriot or Turkish Cypriot persons missing since 1964 or 1974 to come forward.
