Spain makes its second donation of €50,000 in two years to CMP

(Nicosia, 4 December 2008) – The Committee on Missing Persons in Cyprus (CMP) wishes to express its gratitude to the government of Spain for its second donation (€50,000) in two years made in favour of the CMP Project on the Exhumation, Identification and Return of Remains of Missing Persons in Cyprus.
This renewed donation will be of great value to the CMP in its endeavour to bring the painful issue of missing persons in Cyprus to a speedy conclusion.
It is estimated that the remains exhumed so far relate to over 450 individuals. One hundred and seven individuals have been identified to date and their remains returned to their respective families.
