Nicosia, 12 April 2012 – The CMP continues with the efforts to preserve its Project on the Exhumation, Identification and Return of Remains of Missing Persons from all possible mistakes, in order to alleviate the long suffering of the Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot families of missing persons.

The due transparency in all aspects of its operations has always been of paramount importance to the CMP, especially with regard to its budget and expenditures. The CMP’s funds (US$ 15,133,086 to date) are managed by the UNDP and are audited in strict accordance with the UN rules and regulations.

All the up-to-date relevant information can be found on the English version of the CMP’s website, including but not limited to, the 2012 budget. The copies of the budgets for 2011 and other previous years from 2008 on can be obtained from the CMP offices upon request.
